We start by reading the software currently on the ECU and comparing it with the original calibration for your vehicle. Where the software allows us to tell, we’ll confirm whether it’s running a modified file before anything is changed. If it is, we write the correct factory calibration back so the engine behaves exactly as the manufacturer intended.

You’ve bought a vehicle and suspect it’s been remapped

Used vehicles don’t always come with a complete history. If the car or van you’ve just bought pulls harder than the spec suggests, or the seller was vague about previous work, we can check the ECU and give you a straight answer wherever the software makes that possible.

You want to remove a Stage 1 or Stage 2 remap

A remap that suited you a few years ago might not fit how you use the vehicle today. Some owners simply prefer the feel of the original setup. We can remove both Stage 1 and Stage 2 remaps and reinstate the standard calibration.

The existing remap isn’t running properly

Aftermarket software varies a lot in quality. A badly calibrated file can cause hesitation, flat spots, black smoke, warning lights, limp mode, or fuel economy that’s worse than before. Putting the ECU back to stock is often the quickest way to get a vehicle running smoothly again.

You’re returning a modified vehicle to standard

Plans change, and so do insurance quotes. Whether you’ve owned the vehicle from new or inherited someone else’s modifications, we can take the engine software back to its factory state.

Software and hardware changes

Remap removal restores the engine software.
